The same short guides as in the app, under You, then Help and guides.

Free to spendThe money that is not already promised to something.
  1. Look at Home. The big figure is what is free in your main currency.
  2. Tap it. It shows what is held, and each part taken off.
  3. Keep it true. Record spending as it happens, and check accounts against their real balance now and then.

Good to know

  • Envelopes, budgets left and bills due soon come off
  • A susu round counts only once it pays out
  • Short by means more is promised than is held
EnvelopesLike the pockets of a wallet: money kept for one thing.
  1. Open an account. Money › Accounts, then the account the money is in.
  2. Make an envelope. Name it: School fees, Transport, Church.
  3. Put money in. It stays in the account, and stops counting as free to spend.

Good to know

  • Paying from an envelope draws it down
  • One purpose can sit in two accounts
  • Closing one makes its money free again

  1. Plan your part. Household › The pot › Plan your part for the month.
  2. Add it. From one of your accounts. Your accounts stay private.
  3. See the pot grow. The household's total, and your part against your plan.

Good to know

  • Money recorded straight into the household's accounts is the household's already
  • Paying a household bill yourself counts as your part
Bills and budgetsKnow what is coming, and how much each thing may take.
  1. Add a bill. Plan › Bill: rent, school fees, power, with when it falls due.
  2. Set money aside. On the bill, a little at a time, so it is ready.
  3. Set a budget. Plan › Budgets: how much food or transport may take each month.

Good to know

  • A bill due soon with nothing set aside shows on Home
  • Budgets start fresh each month
  • Add the income you expect, and This month says if it adds up
SusuA savings round, kept in its own account.
  1. Join a round. Plan › Susu › Join one: who collects, how much, how often.
  2. Pay each time. From one of your accounts, on the day it is due.
  3. Take the payout. When your turn comes, into the account you choose.

Good to know

  • Paying in is not spending: the money is still yours
  • A collector's fee is counted when the round ends
Changing moneyUS dollars and Liberian dollars, at the rate you actually got.
  1. Record the change. Add › Change money: what you gave and what you got.
  2. See the rate. Money › Trends › The rate you got, beside the Bank's.

Good to know

  • What it cost against the Bank's rate shows on Home once it matters
  • Budgets count both currencies at the day's rate
Sharing a phoneEach person has their own PIN, and what they keep for themselves stays theirs.
  1. Switch person. You › Switch person, then the other member's PIN.
  2. Hide amounts. The eye on Home, when others can see the screen.
  3. Lock it. The lock on Home. It also locks itself after a minute away.

Good to know

  • The closed pot marks what only you can see
  • Nothing private shows on the lock screen
